I have a Dixie Narco USA 15 and it takes bills very sluggishly. Sounds like it's battery is dying. Funny thing is it doesn't use batteries, as you know. How hard is it to replace belts or rebuild a bill acceptor?

ondeckdean,
that is one OLD bill acceptor. It runs slugish because it is probably older than you! First buy a validator cleaning card (about $2) and it through 1/2 dozen times, if that doesn't work I would suggest a used or rebuilt Coinco BA-30, about $50 or $75 respectively.
However if you really want spend more money fixing than replacing, I suggest going over to: http://www.coinvalparts.com/
they MIGHT have parts for a validator that old. They are also real helpful about how to take apart and repair validators. When it comes to coin mech or validator issues here we usually recommend just replacing.
Good luck to you.

I have a BA30SA and it doesn't work. Did you mean a BA30B?
ondeckdean,
You will need a wiring harness to connect your BA30SA to a single-price (110v) soda machine. Since you are using a USA-15 you soda machine almost has to be single-price. When you change from your USA-15 to another validator you will need a new wiring harness. For the BA30 (SA or B) connecting to a Coinco 3340s you will need a BA30 Single-Price Adapter Harness. It should looks like the picture below. Other coin mech's may or may not need a different wiring harness. They are available from any one of several vending machine suppliers on the web and they should be able to recommend the correct wiring harness.
