Hey Guys, Im posting this from sunny South Africa, requiring some help please.
I help my dad run a few vending machines, we have 5 in total.
We have purchased 3 Validation Tech Matrix Bill Acceptors from a company here that went out of business, I only realised few months back as well that Validation Tech closed up shop as well.
The Company we bought them from assured us that work well. We installed one in a royal cold drink vending machine after getting the cashflow coin mech updated and tethered or what have you, im not sure what they do with them but its working, and no issues. the other one we had installed as well, was working fine and then all of sudden after about a week, the Orange solid light comes on which respresents the error: "Disabled by Master / VMC".
After some searching, i have the operation manual, and apparently i need to get the RS232 Software tools which i cannot find as the validationTech website is dead and the way back machine doesnt store the installation files. i know that isn't really my problem but would be nice to have if someone on here can share it if they have it.
The main issue is the "disabled by VMC", does anyone know of this issue or what i can do to test and repair it? any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

I don't have a Matrix brand bill acceptor or manual. But, "disabled at VMC" is a common error message I get it everynow and then on my Royals and Vendos. It means there is a problem with the connection to the coinmech or control board. I would first check the wire harnesses and then if that doesn't do it, swap the coinmech with a known good one. It is usually one of those 2 things for me.
