How do I change the lock on my soda vending machine?

Hello,
maybe somebody can tell me how to change the lock on my soda machine. I bought a new lock with keys but I can't get the old one out. they said it would "pop out"? I think they lied. any help would be appreciated.

Ok, turn key to unlock (leave

Ok, turn key to unlock (leave key in lock) and screw out t-handle, after door opens pull t-handle out as far as you can pull it and hold it out(about 1/2 inch more) locate lock tongue protruding out near back of t-handle shaft
1 unscrew and hold t-handle out

take flat screwdriver and push down on tongue while pulling on key (that is still in lock)
2 screwdriver to press down tongue

slide lock out
3 slide lock out

and presto! lock should pop out (hence the name pop out lock)

Installation is the reverse of removal.
