Are there ways to cheat a vending machine?

HI,
I was wondering if someone could tell me of any ways to cheat or rip off a vending machine. Like a hack, say holding down the first button while push a certain combination of other buttons and get free sodas.;) Or maybe a foreign coin that the machine will accept for quarters, dimes or nickels? :D
