Vendo 407 #2 motor not turning

Hi everyone, I'm in need of a little help here if you could! I have a vendo 407 which I acquired recently. Everything works except slot 2 which is a double wide slot. The motor is stuck half way to the repriming location and releasing the brake to manually turn it doesn't help. It's seems to be seized in my opinion. However, even the indicator light to say that selection is empty does not work. Is there a fuse per vending slot? Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Vendo 407 Selection Motor Stuck

Adameman,
Two possibilities I can think of:
1. Gage bar is worn & jammed.
2. Gears are corroded & locked up.
Since this is a Vendo, I would bet the gage bar is worn and it sometimes jams the vending mechanism.
1. To fix jammed gage bar -
First un-plug machine.
Second remove cans from that column.
Then you need to remove the screws that hold the motor/cam assembly in place and pull out motor slowly. You should here/feel the motor dis-engage the gate and gage bar.
You then need to rotate motor to home position & reinsert the motor back into the gate. To do this you will need to rotate the gate to line up with the motor pins, this will feel like you need 3 hands to do, but you can do it.
Then while holding it all in place screw the screws back in and plug back in machine. Your done!
2. Corroded gears - If it's the gears corroded, you need to remove and buy new vend motor/cam assembly install like above, lining up motor pins with gate, replacing screws.
With Vendo it quite often just needs to have the gage bar freed up (#1)

Hope this helps,
RGump
