Cant change pricing on Vendo.....HELP!

Hi,

I just recently picked up a Vendo V480 (that's what the tag says at least) and I cant seem to figure how to change the prices on the machine. Everything inside the door says it can and that it is a VEC 5.2 board but i cant get to the option to change the price when i follow the diagram. Has anyone else ran into this problem or can anyone help me figure out what im doing wrong?

Jrod2006,The programming

Jrod2006,
The programming (setting the price) on vendo 5.1/5.2 machines is covered in their service manual's located right here on this site (in the Vending Manuals section) here are the direct links:
Vendo Univendor 2 (VEC 5.1) Service Manual and
Vendo Univendor 2 (VEC 5.2) Manual

When ever I have program a vec 5.1/5.2 machine it always seems wrong to me to have to push the mode switch 1 or 2 or 3 times to get to the correct menu AND not only that the mode switch is timing sensitive (you can't press and release it to fast or else it doesn't count all of your switch presses). And the menu codes are not explained on the door sticker very well. It is supposed to be ".OO" with no mode switch pressed, "cpo" with mode switch pressed once, "test" with mode switch pressed twice, "cost" with the mode pressed 3 times - this is the one you want. Some of the led's in the display maybe burn't out so what you see on the display may look different, and there are display differences between 5.1 and 5.2 (I can never remember all the differences so I'll just tell you what I do).
Once you get to this (3rd) menu:
On SOME machines you just press the selection button you want to change price (hold it in it goes up, release it and press it again it goes back down, when you get to the right price - stop- it's set)
On OTHER machines you press the number 1 sel button to change the display to read the number of the selection you want change/set price then press the number 3 or 4 sel button to change its price and once again-(hold it in it goes up, release it and press it again it goes back down, when you get to the right price - stop- it's set)
I think some of these machines could have been made to program a lot easier and more intuitive.
I hope my post here and the manual helps you out.
