dixie 501 selection problem

ubiboi,

First unlock and open door, on a Dixie-Narco with SIID controller board it should run an automatic self diagnostic when you first open the door. This will display an error code on the price display. You can look up the code in the SIID programming manual (available here on our site in the vending machine manuals section). This will give you an idea whats wrong. You can get back with me and give me the code and I give you some things to check.

You can also take out all of the cans or bottles. Check for a re-jam. Load 9 cans or 6 bottles back in. Make sure your cam switch is in it's 'home'
position, that is it should be down in a notch on the cam.

Third check all of the wire connections to the motor and cam micro-switches. Test vend the motor using "motor test" from the SIID control board, the instructions should be printed on your inner door or if not they are in the manual. If you have checked all of the above and the motor won't test vend you probably have a burnt out motor or a short in the wiring :(

let me know if this helps,
daryl
