This is my very first vending machine. While setting the machine up, it will not let me set a price over $12.50 it says something like max price reached. I can't believe a machine would be made with a built-in max price.
Does anyone know how to reset this?
I have read two different manuals thoroughly, and don't see any references to it.

Shoppertron 430. Resetting max price?
BBQJOE,
looking at the service manual on pg 17a it states that in the case of an electrical malfunction the machine defaults to $12.75, since the default in a case like this is usually the highest price possible it looks like that is the maximum price. When some of those old 430's were made candy bars sold for 25 cents! Nobody dreamed you would ever need a price higher than 12.50. The current model is the model 432. It's max price is $325.00. Sounds high enough doesn't it? But in 20-30 years? Hmm.....
The manual I am referring to is on this site in the service manuals section at:

Thanks Daryl.
In one of the 430 manuals I saw online, it said the default was $99.95
I see your post, and the manual both say 12.75
This machine won't let me set it any higher than 12.50
A buddy of mine has had a vending route for many many years and owned a lot of these machines, and says he has never heard nor seen such a thing.
I talked with tech support at crane, and he seemed befuddled, maybe I need to talk to someone else there. He was suggesting a new EPROM, and also referred to the 99.75 default price.
I just have a hard time believing with all the digital displays and everything that this would be programmed not to vend over 12.50.
There has to be some way around it.
While poking around I came across a prompt that said reset all. I wonder....
BBQJOE,
the tech guy might have an idea there, upgrading your eprom or controller board to a newer version might work. Only the tech people at national would know for sure. If you do that here is a link to another manual you might find helpful - How to Install a New Controller Board Eprom and Reset Ram:
http://www.vend-resource.com/book/national-install-new-controller-board-...
When installing a brand new board you have to initialize the ram for the specific machine you have.
