I have an old Dixie Narco (DNCB 432t/252-6) soda machine. I bought it cheaply and put it in at work when our old one broke. It's more as a courtesy than a money maker.
It has a a Mars Electronics TRC-6200 coin mechanism in it. I would like to add a dollar bill acceptor to the machine.
Will this coin mechanism work with a dollar bill acceptor?
What type of a acceptor do I need to get?
Does anybody have a wiring diagram to help me hook it up?
Do you need more information?
Thanks you.
karl,
Yes, it will work with a validator.
If you get a Coinco BA-30 or Coinco Mag-50 it is pretty simple, you shouldn't need a wiring diagram. You have single price machine with 110V MEI TRC-6200. That means you have a 12-pin Jones plug interface. So if you would like to add a Coinco BA-30 model validator you will need the validator (BA-30) and a wiring harness for that validator. The wiring harness will look something like the picture below.
All you do is:
1. Unplug your vending machine from the wall.
2. Unplug the black Jones plug from the coin mech from the machine.
3. Plug the wiring harness into the validator (long white plug) and plug the black plug on the wiring harness into the machine.
4. Then plug the black Jones plug from the coin mech into the back of the black plug on the wiring harness which is now plugged into the machine.
5. Plug your machine back in and your done.
As for buying a wiring harness for a Coinco BA-30/Mag-50 to Mars TRC-6200, it is a 110V coin mechanism and any good vending supply company should have one or on ebay or vending suppliers on the web. Cost about $20.
Same for the Coinco BA-30/Mag-50. Cost about $50.
hope this helps,
