Hi,
I'm new on this forum so first of all I would like to say Hi and thanks for posting so useful information.
I have a Dixie-Narco 8 Adaptable column vending machine with a CoinCO DEX 9300 Changer that I would like to replace enabling free vend for a given period of time using a microcontroller board.
Found somewhere that with some jumpers on Jones plug and a switch between pins 1 and 3 will do that work but not sure if this is safe to do as there will be 110V over there.
Also I would like to control the selection switches with the same board so the steps will be --> enabling vend --> simulate a selector panel selection with the microcontroller board --> get the cam.
Sorry if I'm not clear enough...
Thanks in advance.
windsol,
Do you have a single-price or a multi-price Dixie-Narco Vending machine it makes a difference on how to set it up for free vend.
A multiprice machine will have a digital display on the front of the machine and a single-price will have only the red 'use exact change light'.
Get back to me and see what we can do,
daryl
Thanks for your reply Daryl. This is a single-price Dixie-Narco Vending machine.
Thanks again.
Hi Daryl, did you have some time to think about this ?
It is a single price machine.
Regards.
windsol,
since this is a single-price machine the method described in the Youtube video you mentioned is really the only way to set a single-price machine to free vend (jumpers on the Jones plug). That Youtube video is not very clear, so we are working on getting up a pdf with diagrams and better instructions in the manuals section. This seems to be a common request (we have 3 others posts requesting info) so we are working on it.

Thanks Daryl for your answer. I've just tested that connection on the machine and it really worked!
Basically I connected 1 to 7 and a momentary switch between 1 and 3.
It worked fine.
Thanks again!
