Hi,
I have a National 430 rotary cold-food vendor. The compressor won't come on. I tried replacing the triac, no luck. Is there a reset on the compressor? What else should I try?

Does the condenser fan run? If so then the compressor should as well and it not running means you either have a problem with the start relay or start capacitor or the compressor is bad. If you can hear the compressor click on and off without starting then you have a bad compressor. If there's no sound from the compressor and the fan isn't running then you have lost the cooling circuit.
Here is a link to the wiring diagram for the machine: http://www.dsvendinginc.com/pdf-manuals/WD431005.pdf
You'll see that power runs back to the door switch and then to the interface board. You'll also see that the triac is fed off the interface board as well. Before trying any of that, look closely for any burned wiring that could give you an open circuit.
