Vending (Snack) Machine Lock wont open - Help!

Hi everyone,
I have an old Doritos Vending machine with the lift up T style lock. the lock is jammed and will only open part way, therefore not releasing the latch and opening the door.

It is jammed solid. I don't know what to do aside from taking off the door?

That looks like a National snack machine.

Either a 147, 157 or 167. Try pushing up on the right side of the door while unlatching it or unlock the handle and then pick the front of the machine an inch or two off the floor and drop it. This will sometimes free up a stuck door. This probably jammed because the machine isn't level or someone abused the machine, or it was handled rough when moving it. If none of this works then you could have a broken lift handle mechanism.

Suggestion on Locks related problem.

Why not to hire a Locksmith if the locks is not working well. Damaging the whole door of Vending Machine cost much than calling Lock specialist to repair it
