I have a dixie narco, DNCB 240/318-5. I have had it for over 3 years and just had to put Freon in. I have a guy that just installed a new compressor including the top and bottom coils and the thermostat control. So I have a thermometer on the outside that reads the outside temp as well as the inside temp. So my compressor cylces on for 5 mintues and off for 8 minutes. I can time it is always exact time. My thermostat is on 1 the lowest level and my temp is still ranging from 36 to 40. Which is fine but didn't think on level 1 it would still be that cold. Anyways my temp stays at same degree while off for 8 minutes but compressor still kicks on for 5 minutes. I don't think its keeping it that degree and kicking it on and off. So I read in manual that theres a temperature control bulb that goes to a bellow that then signals the temperature control. Is that whats wrong!!!! Can I fix that or even find parts? Any thoughts please. Thank you reading all that.

It is normal for Dixie-Narco soda machines to be set on numbers 1 or 2, especially with a new or newly rebuilt compressor, and cool your sodas just fine. If you set it up to high you will freeze all your product.
Also 36 to 40 degrees is pretty good temperature and a good range of +-2 degrees. You could try setting on #2, but be careful it then will range from 32 to 36, and at 32 you risk a frozen product mess (they bust open).
Also, your compressor is going to maintain the temperature automatically by turning on/off according to the temperature setting number and that seems to be exactly what yours is doing.
So, whats the problem?
