How To Vend 1/2 Liter Water Bottles in Dixie-Narco Soda Machine

RGump,
Good news & bad news.
First, the bad news: you can't vend the cheap water bottles from retailers (like Sam's Club) in a older Vendo Soda Machine. The mechanism Vendo uses in those machines just won't work with the cheap squishy bottles. It might be possible in the new glass-front Vendo Vue machines, but not the older 'regular style' soda machines. You will have to go to a Vendable Products Warehouse Supplier (Wholesaler), they sell 'hard' water bottles that won't squish and jam. We have a Nationwide list of them in our directory here: https://www.vend-resource.com/vending-directory-category-vendible-produc...
Second, the good news: You can vend some of those cheap 1/2 liter water bottles in a Dixie-Narco Brand older vending machine, with a few restrictions.
1. you can only put them in your Dixie-Narco single column slots.
2. you can only stack them a max of 10 high, depending on condition of the machine, maybe only 8-9 high. you will have to test vend a bunch to find out.
3. You can only vend them 1 bottle deep in those single slots, not 2 deep.
Also a friend of mine tells me it helps if he sprays the vending mech parts at the bottom of the slot that come in contact with the water bottles with 'food grade silicone' spray. But, I have not needed to do that as long as don't stack bottles very high (see #2 above).
so there you go, that's the secret.

Hope this helps,
Daryl
