hello! ive purchased a dixie narco 276e vending machine for my maintance shop at work. I feel i recieved a good deal on the machine, however im here to ask for some help into getting it to operate correctly!
the story behind the machine goes as the follow.
the machine set in a office and a diet coke got hunge up inside it and the owner said just toss it. so it set for 2 years until now.
so i open the machine up and find a few "2 or 3" cans scattered in different selection racks, the diet coke rack had a can that was crushed and looks like the tray that rotates had binded on the can, ive yet to wash the syrup out of the bottom yet, i wanted to see if everything works first.
however every selection says "sold out" when you push the buttons. i think its a "4 button" but i cant figure out how to enter diagnostics, push comes to shove i guess i could get my voltmeter out and a diagram and go to it.
was just hoping someone might possibly have some time saving tips or ideas!
thanks!
steven

xomega,
as for the jammed diet coke can the simplist way to unjam the can is by disconnecting the power to the motor, and releasing the brake manually. The motor will spin backwards releasing the can. Reconnect power and motor should rehome itself. Note the motor has a thermal overload which may keep motor off until it cools.
as for the sold out lights sounds like your machine is almost empty and there fore they are "sold out" i.e. they are working like they are supposed to. There are paddle switches in each column and when that column is low the paddle switch pops up and tells the machine that that colmun is sold out.
When you clean the soda syrup from inside of the machine be careful not to get the motors, switches and electrical stuff wet, even if unplugged it will cause corrosion to form and you want to avoid that.
