I have a dixie narco 501mc single price 8 selection that will vend out of the first 3 stack colum on the right when you put money in it, without pushing a button.
I have a coinco mech, and mag 50 validator. I dont know what is going on with it, please help. I changed the price to 25 cents so I could try to diagnose the
problem and everytime i drop a quarter in it, it vends from the one triple deep double stack motor. I unplugged the push button selector, still does the same thing, what is even worse, there are no cans in that selection, and the empty light is on, I think I may have a bad switch on the vend motor, but not sure.
any input would be greatly helpful.

when you deposit coin(s) to the sale price the changer is telling the vend relay to send power to the motors, with the sold out switch open and selection button NOT pushed, the selection motor shouldn't vend. Hmmm....
The first thing I would do is check the microswitches on that motor, if one of the swithes was not in the correct position by the cam not stopping when it should it might cause this problem.
SEE THE PICTURE BELOW for the correct position of the microswitches (red arrow pointing left).
If the cam (red and white disks) is not stopping in the correct position, then you probably clean with hot water & ammonia the brake, it is the metal lever in the picture (red arrow pointing down). It is hinged on one side, work up and down a lot.

Do to the large views I'll post this. If you will read a newer posting "need help Dixie Narco DNCB 360 / 210 - 6 troubleshooting" It addresses the issue of auto vending. If that doesn't help I'm sure we can figure it out. Just a thought.
