Dixie Narco DNCB 240B Compressor problem

I picked up this machine for 25$ because some hack removed the sensor thing fromm the side of the compressor. Can anyone tell me what the part is called and where I can find one. The machine runs and vends with no problems it doesn't get cold since the compressor and fan dont run. The part missing is on the right side of the compressor with a plug end that connects to the plug in the front
