HELP needed removing compressor

I want to clean and paint my compressor.
Is there anything I should be aware of before I start?

Also, how do I attach photos?
Any help is appreciated,
Terry

Re: HELP needed removing compressor

No need to remove it, I have cleaned mine with a pressure washer while still in the machine. UNPLUG THE MACHINE OF COURSE. And leave it unplugged until it dries off completely (about a day). As for painting, same thing, spray can it right there. Unplug/leave unplugged as above.
BUT, if you really want to remove it there is a post here with details and pics about removing a compressor.
