late 80s RC Cola machine Iscit worth it?

Hey everyone! Im looking at a late 80s RC machine. The seller wants $20 so it's dirt cheap. The thing is it's not cooling. He thinks the compressor is still working, when hecplugs it in it hums away for a few seconds the cycleson and off. I'm just wondering is it junk or is it worth picking up and trying to save? I can't afford a new compressor so if it's bad I'm not looking much could problem scrap it for more.

Sounds like the same problem I answered in this post:

Try those suggestions and if it doesn't help get back to me, we will figure it out.
