Hello,
3 month ago we got a snack machine for free. We never had a machine before and we dont know all the technical names. We have the machine now in our breakroom and having some snacks in it for a cheap price, because we dont want to make a business out of it. Just so it pays himself.
It is not taking any bills anymore. We changed already the belts, but it is still the same.
The display of the machine went out, so we ordered a replacement and it was working fine. But now it is sometimes working sometimes not. If we select something normally it makes a beep, but like the display sometimes it makes no sound and we have no display. Than we unplug the machine, wait a little bit, plug in and everything is working fine with the display.
What can we do? What could cause this problems?
We know that the machine is old, is there a way to upgrade?
Thanks in Advance
From your pictures it appears you have a USI 3013 snack machine & an old Maka brand bill acceptor. Changing the belts won't do any good if the problem is it's controler, you will need to buy a rebuilt Maka bill acceptor. They are available on the web, just google it. When ordering one be sure to tell who you order from, the Maka's model number & the make & model of you snack machine ( USI 3013). It is important to get the voltage and connectors correct.
With the display problem it sounds like a short somewhere in the machine or a circuit board going bad (there are several). I think your only option will be to call out vending repairman to track down the bad board or short. But replace the bill acceptor 1st, you might just get lucky and solve both problems.
