usi 3015a and pyramid bill acceptor

purchased pyramid bill acceptor for usi snackmachine...bill reads and shows on display but will not vend product when selection is made, bills will stack in collection box, new data and power cable from vendnet....pyramid model 7401-u53-usa...have tried to change force vend off and on, still will not vend...are these compatable, vendnet offers no help because they no nothing about pyramid, only mei and conlux acceptors.....have not tried original harness for maka with a crossover harness..would have to purchase a crossover cable if would fix t

Pyramid acceptors

I was also unfamiliar with Pyramid acceptors, until now. I looked up your model # 7401-U53 in there manual APEX SERIES 5000 & 7000 BILL ACCEPTOR INSTALLATION/OPERATION MANUAL available Here:

Most USI machines (and I have not seen a lot) use the MDB interface, this is discussed on page 13 of their manual. It looks like the easiest way to get settings correct is to use their configuration card for MDB. As for the correct cable you may already have it or not. I would print and use the configuration card as in their instructions and try it first. If that doesn't do it I would call Pyramid acceptors support number listed here:

they should be able to tell you which cable (if any) you might need.
