I've searched and can't find the solution to my jackpotting problem. I'm hoping someone here can help. I have a Pepsi Vendo 480 that dumps 3 cans at a time. It used to dump all of the cans in this one slot but I installed a new motor carrier switch so now the cam doesn't run continuously. The gage bar looks good to me - it has 3 different levels to it. The backstop looks good - it is set to the same position as the slot next to it that works correctly. I swapped the spring on the brake from another slot but that didn't make a difference. I would appreciate any ideas. Gate link maybe? I've never worked on a soda machine before. Thanks!
Try cleaning the brake with some windex & paper towel. Soda will work it's way down there sometimes & dry sticky just enough to make the brake stick, new spring or not.

Most of the vending parts sellers sell vend selection motors complete with new brake, cam and microswitches. similar to the picture below. That should replace just about everything that could be a problem. Be sure to tell the you have Vendo Model 480, the color of your cam and whether it is a single or double column motor and they should set you right up. Hope this works for you.
