Hello i bought a Vendo 475 Coke machine it has a Cashflow 540 Custom Coin Mech in it
Q1. Does anyone know where i can get the sold out lights from? they are a clear plastic square with a lamp on the end of them, i can get model numbers and pictures if needed.
Q2.Does anyone know if i can make the prices individual? as soon as i put the correct money in it clicks on and will let me pick any drink
Q3. There is a Cashflow 560 for sale on ebay, will that one do custom prices and can i do a straight swap over?
Q4. Does anyone know how i can adjust the cam/rails to spit out 2 drinks insted of one. because i want to have redbull in their and it costs twice as much as coke so i figured i could make all the softdrinks shoot out 2 cans and make redbull spit out one?
Thanks for your help
is there any other forums or people i can call for my vendo questions, im from australia and have skype credit to call international.?
Please help me i have a vendo 475

Please help me i have a vendo 475
str8rippin,
Ok, let's begin:
1. Sold out lights for that machine are available from many web vending machine suppliers. I go to www.vendingmix.com they have good prices and can ship anywhere, your part is kind of small and it won't be listed on the catalog pages, but just call or email them they can send you one quick.
2. The answer is NO. Your machine a is single-price machine and it can be set for one price fits all selections only.
3. The answer is NO. No coin mech is going to change a single-price machine to a multi-price machine. It was wired by design that way at the factory.
4. The answer is YES and NO. On a vendo 475 the cams should have 2 notches when 1 notch is showing it will vend 2 at a time, when 2 notches are showing it will vend 1 at a time. See picture below for location of cam notches.
BUT you can not vend RedBull in a regular soda machine without a special RedBull adapter kit (the cans are to narrow), and I do not know of an adapter kit for a vendo 475. Sorry.
4a. You can however vend Monster, Rockatar, etc. by loading them 1 can deep and setting the cam to 1 notch.
hope this helps a little,
daryl
PS: the service manual for your machine is available right here on this website in the service manuals section at:

ok thanks for your help, i didnt recieve your answer till just now
I replaced the fluros in the front with 2 1500mm LED ones, lights up a charm, replaced the condensor fan, and fixed all my sold out lamps. Now a few more questions
1. Can i make the machine motor turn 50% as much for 1 selection, this way i may stock drinks that costs twice and much as the other drinks and have a little note like: "To Vend Dr Pepper, Please Insert $1, then press selection then insert another $1 and press Dr Pepper"
As we dont have dr pepper here we have to import it from the states, i can make it double the price and people will be happy to pay double.
2.The Barrel lock is a little bit dodgey when i hit it a few times it pops out, is it best to replace this lock barrel or get one of those black stainless steel lock covers with a padlock on it, where would i purchase either of these?
Thanks Very Much!
str8rippin,
Well, let's see:
1. I believe you could load the Dr. Pepper cans 1 can deep, be sure to adjust the back spacer forward (you might need custom modify it to get it that far forward). Then you could set the cam to 2 notches, this would make it turn once for each dollar but would only vend the 1 can after 2 turns. I have never done this but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
2. The barrel lock is probably not your problem, the T-handle is probably worn . There are 2 holes for the "tongue" of the barrel lock to fit into on the T-handle, try using the other hole and see if that helps.
2a. Barrel locks, T-handles, etc. are available from many of the vending suppliers on the web, www.VendingMix.com as previously mentioned would have what you need.

Hey, i couldnt work out what you mean by 2 holes, how would you go about changing the hole? do i need to remove the whole T-Peice? i found this lock on ebay, if the lock is the problem would this one fit ? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pepsi-Coke-Soda-Vendo-Tubular-Vending-Machine...
i made a short youtube video of my lock so you can understand, thanks so much daryl. Also Where on earth would i get a redbull shim for my 475? i fell like ive looked on every vending website possible Thanks

str8rippin,
Your lock in the video looks like it is sticking out to far (it's in the wrong hole for that size barrel lock). There are 2 sizes of barrel locks (short and long) your lock should fit and work better in one of the 2 holes in the T-handle. First remove your lock (if you need help see this post: http://www.vend-resource.com/forum-topic/how-do-i-change-lock-my-soda-ve...), then look down inside the t-handle and you should see 2 holes, one is farther down in side of the T-handle and is 90 degrees off to one side from the other hole. I loaded up a picture of a T-handle out of a machine (see below) to help, the red arrows point to the locations of the holes. Sorry for the poor quality of the picture it's the only one I had on hand. Put your barrel lock back in and aim for the farther in hole. It may take you a couple of tries the first time, but you'll get it. It should seat better if not then you might have a wear/damage problem in the outer sleeve of the T-handle or your lock is bad. The lock you found on e-bay will work fine, I would try it in both holes and if that didn't fix your problem then your T-handle assembly is probably worn out/damaged. They are pretty easy to buy on the web for $15-$25. The above mentioned www.VendingMix.com will have them ask for Alex.
As for a Red Bull kit for a Vendo 475, I do not know of one, Red Bull was not even in existence when your 475 was made. There are Red Bull kits for Vendo 540/720 soda machines and Vendo Univendor-2 series machines but these are all newer multi-price machines. I once converted a Red Bull kit for a newer Dixie-Narco 501E to work in an older Dixie-Narco 501 non-E machine, BUT it was a lot of work and I was working on the SAME basic model number. I wouldn't even attempt it on that different of a machines. Sorry.
PS: Monster Energy drink sells good and doesn't require a kit :)
hope this helps,
daryl
ok thanks so i pulled it out and its too short to fit inside the other hole, i tried gridinging it down to the tab and it still wont fit, so i guess i need a new lock and i need the "longer one"
here's a piccy
